Payment Methods

Credit Card

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners Club, and Discover). At this time we do not accept credit card payments for billing addresses outside of North America.

PayPal

We accept PayPal. This option is recommended if you are required to use a billing address outside of North America.

Credit Card Security

You can rest easy knowing our site is safe and secure. Your credit card information is transferred using the same 256-bit encryption and physical security that banks use.

Mobile Wallets

We do not accept Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, Google Pay, or other mobile wallet options at this time.

Financing

U.S. and Canadian customers can arrange financing for their purchase of $50 or more with our financing partner, Affirm.

This option is available at checkout, along with additional details. For any questions regarding interest, installments, or payment plan terms, we recommend contacting Affirm directly.

Gift Cards

When purchasing a gift card, please ensure you’re on the correct version of our website (US or Canada) based on the currency you’d like to gift. Gift cards are available in a minimum amount of $20, with no maximum limit. If you are purchasing a gift card for someone else, please provide their email address at checkout (they will need to use this same email to access their gift card).

You also have the option to schedule the date the recipient will receive their gift card. Simply select a date from the calendar under "Send Date," and the recipient will receive the gift card at 9 AM PST on the selected day.

Once your purchase is complete, you’ll receive a confirmation email. If you’ve purchased one for someone else, they’ll also receive a confirmation email with a link to activate the gift card. Please note that we are unable to delay the release time of the gift card and do not issue physical cards for mailing.

If the recipient doesn’t already have an account with us using the provided email address, they will be prompted to create one. If they do have an account, they’ll be asked to login. Once logged in, their gift card value will be displayed under the “Credits” tab. Credit will only be shown in the country where the currency was issued, so they’ll need to ensure they’re on the correct version of our website. For more information about our gift cards, please refer to our Terms and Conditions.

Store Credits

You can apply your Article store credits to purchases on Article.com. They have no cash value and aren’t transferable.

Some credits have an expiration date, after which the value will be zero—so make sure to use it before you lose it. Your credit will expire at 11:59pm PST on the date of expiry.

You can always check your credit and gift card balance in the store credit section of My Account.

Prepaid Credit Cards

We accept prepaid credit cards from Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. If you’re using one to make a purchase, we strongly recommend you hold on to it in case you require a refund or adjustment at a later date. If that happens, we’ll apply the refunded amount back to the original prepaid credit card. If your card has expired at the time of the refund, we’ll work with you to find an alternative means to process the refunded amount.

Multiple Payment Methods

Unfortunately, we do not accept multiple credit cards or multiple prepaid credit cards as payment for a single purchase. However, payments can still be split between a primary payment method and Article gift cards. If you have multiple credit or prepaid credit cards you’d like to use towards your order, please use them to purchase individual Article gift cards of equal value. The gift card(s) can then be applied to your order at checkout.


Customs, Tax, and Tax Exemption

You will not be charged customs or duties on your Article order.

We collect sales tax where we are required to by law, and as such the amount will vary depending on zip code or postal code. If your shipping address is changed after your order is placed, the difference in tax rate will need to be charged/refunded. Any applicable taxes will be clearly shown at checkout.

For our customers with tax-exempt status, please place your order on our site as usual. When you receive your order confirmation email, please reply with a photocopy/photo of your relevant certificates, forms and/or ID cards. Our payments team will analyze your documents and, if approved, will submit a refund for the taxes paid retroactively.


When We Charge Payment

You will be charged for your order when you place it. If for any reason you decide to cancel before your order processes and ships, you'll be refunded in full.


Discount and Promotional Codes

Through our direct-to-consumer model, we’re able to provide the best prices and best value on our products every day, so we don’t offer specific coupon or discount codes. Some websites may sell or advertise fraudulent Article codes, we are unable to honor them.

We run sales or clearance events occasionally to help us make way for new products. If an item goes on sale or clearance within 30 days of your delivery, we’ll price match it — just get in touch with our team before before the 30 days are up.


Reserved Stock

Stock is only reserved once payment is complete. If your confirmation email shows that an item is out of stock, it means someone else purchased the last unit before your payment was finalized. This policy also applies to items that are currently out of stock: your payment secures the item for you in the next available incoming shipment.


Security Checks

Occasionally, our team conducts security checks to protect your credit card information. If your order requires a security check, you’ll receive an email from us. Simply provide the 5-digit code assigned to your Article order on your credit card statement.


Price Matching

If an item you’ve purchased goes on sale within 30 days from the date of your delivery, we'll be happy to honor the sale price. Contact us within those 30 days with your order number and the specific item you’d like price-matched. Please note we will only match sale prices during the relevant sale period.

You can only purchase Article products on our website. We do not price match similar-looking items from other companies, as they are not genuine Article products.


Confirmation

A confirmation email will be sent to you shortly after you place your order. If you have not received it within a few hours of placing your order, check your spam folder. If you still don’t see it, please get in touch.
